About 10,000 years before Paul Atreides' rise to hero and Kwisatz Haderach, the Harkonnen sisters must defend against dark forces threatening the future of all humanity. In the course of their struggle, they will found the legendary and influential sisterhood of the Bene Gesserit.
The focus is on the origins of the Bene Gesserit, who undergo intensive physical training and mental conditioning to gain superhuman abilities. The series is set about 10,000 years before the events of Herbert's novel Dune (1965) and serves as a prequel to Denis Villeneuve's Dune (2021).
