Before the start of every season, Riot usually sends out surveys to players in which they ask about potential skin concepts and what players might want to see on Summoner's Rift. In previous years these skin concepts often leaked to the public, giving fans an idea of what might come to LoL – we all remember the furry Lux and Yasuo skin concepts, right?

Well, this year the skins team decided to be a bit more creative to try and stop the skins from leaking.

LoL: Mood Boards Replace Skin Concepts

Skin concepts have leaked every year with some pretty interesting skins making their way to Summoner's Rift officially. Last year, Inkshadow was released, which had previously leaked as a concept from the surveys Riot would send out to players.

Among those leaked skin concepts were also the infamous Primal Lux and Yasuo. These two champions are the go-to for skin concept art, but it doesn't mean that these two will be on the receiving end of the skin, but Riot just uses them as placeholders.

This year, to stop the skins from getting leaked, Riot have decided to use mood boards, instead of concept art to ask players about potential skins and which ones they'd like to see on Summoner's Rift. This is a pretty unique idea which can still convey the feel and message of a skin line without giving too much of the look away.

These mood boards have now leaked online and players can check them out online. There are some pretty interesting concepts, like one similar to Chainsaw Man and other gore shōnen anime, while having another concept be black and green-themed giving off toxic vibes which could also be pretty interesting.

Now we just have to guess which of these mood boards will represent which skins once we get new skins in LoL Season 14, eh?
