The LEC 2024 season is coming to an end. Eight teams will be making it to the LEC Playoffs for some best of three action, but one squad has already been eliminated from contention, with one more day of action left to be played.

Karmine Corp were the team to watch going into the LEC in 2024. The fan base is huge – and loud – and have even brought in new viewership records thanks to their rivalry with the Spanish org KOI MAD.

Going into 2024 fans had high hopes for Karmine Corp. With Elias "Upset" Lipp and Raphaël "Targamas" Crabbé in the bot lane, along with one of the best junglers in the scene, Zhou "Bo" Yang-Bo, the team was set up for success.

The team did struggle though and couldn't seem to close out games even when getting early leads, which has led them to going 1-7 in their first LEC season. Karmine Corp fans must be crying right now with how things have been going, but thankfully this won't be the end for them just yet.

The team is not going to be playing in the upcoming few weeks. While Karmine Corp will still have one more game on January 29 against first placed Team BDS, they do not have enough wins to qualify for the 2024 LEC Winter playoffs, meaning they're only going to be seeing action in the new Riot EMEA Arena in Spring.

Team owner Kamel "Kameto" Kebir also sent out a statement after KC managed their first win of the split against SK Gaming, saying that this one win "feels good despite a very disappointing split". He also added on that the team is not down yet and will work harder for the Spring Split.

Whether the org is going to be making changes to the roster or coaching staff is yet to be determined, but the team will have some time to reflect on the awful start before the next split.
