Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is just five days away and we've already had some really interesting leaks, including the reveal of a new Tactical Shotgun. The second leaked weapon is a DMR that could completely break the game.

Fortnite: New DMR Leaked For Chapter 5 Season 2

According to the famous Fortnite leaker HypeX, the new weapon contains a huge amount of damage, including massive headshot damage.

While we've had a few DMR weapons in the past, which never really could fit the meta, that could change next season. In the past, all assault rifles had a hitscan mechanic, meaning that the bullet you fire will hit the opponent immediately. In Fortnite Chapter 5 this changed with all weapons having the bullet drop mechanic. This could indirectly make the new DMR even more worth carrying.

HypeX also leaked the stats for the upcoming DMR, which Epic Games used to test the new weapon and still which could still be changed:

  • Damage: 58/61/64/67/70
  • Builds Damage: 63/67/70/74/77
  • Headshot Damage: 102/107/112/117/123
  • Reload Time: 2.8s to 2.1s
  • Clip Size: 7 bullets
  • Rate of fire: 1.5

Some players are tired of yet another DMR being added to the game. But maybe this time it could be a viable alternative, due to its high headshot and body damage combined with a solid rate of fire. With the high builds Damage, the weapon could also be used really good to take walls from your opponents. Also with the new weapon modifications coming in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, the weapon could be really broken.

We will have to wait a few more days to see how the weapon fits into the next season. Until then, stay tuned and enjoy the final moments of the old season.
