Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is starting soon and we may already have a huge insight into the new weapons and items. Find out who and what you can expect in Olympus next season.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2: 4 New Mythical Weapons Leaked

There are rumors about new weapons, bosses, and POIs circulating on X, formerly Twitter. The well-known Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey has published information from a supposed playtester. While the information could still change, the leaks seem very plausible.

In a tweet, he mentions five new weapons, including four mythical ones:

  • Zeus' Lightning Bolt
  • Hades' Chain Whip
  • Cerberus' Tactical Shotgun
  • Ares' Burst Rifle
  • Poseidon's Trident

Fellow Fortnite leakers Ako and Hypex also reported that Hades' Chain Whip would be on fire, potentially bringing the fire mechanic back to the game. Additionally, Cerberus' Tactical Shotgun could spawn multiple wolves.

As the leakers themselves report, all information should be taken with a grain of salt. However, it's very likely that the mythical weapons are dedicated to the Greek gods.

There's also another leak about Zeus' Lightninung Bolt from Ako. According to the well-known leaker, the Lightning Bolt will allow the user to jump into the air. From there, there should be three possible attacks: a simple lightning strike, a multiple explosion (possibly like this season's Cluster Clinger), and a burst of lightnings.

4 New God Bosses With Several Stages

Of course, four mythical weapons mean four boss enemies. The leaker iFireMonkey has also published more detailed information about who we can expect:

  • Zeus
  • Cerberus
  • Ares
  • Medusa

Although the number of bosses makes sense, the list raises some questions. We still miss Poseidon and Hades, who, according to the same source as iFireMonkey used, should get a mythical weapon.

Medusa herself will probably not carry a weapon, but can shoot dark energy to defend herself. Furthermore, if you are close to her, she can inflict a shockwave of damage and throw you quite far.

The bosses should also have different monsters as guards. Again, all information should be taken with a grain of salt.

New POI And New Movement Items

Lastly, there are rumors about two new movement items and a new location. As expected, Olympus is supposed to come into the game. It might replace Ruined Reels, where Pandora's Box is located. However, a major map change, like we had with Stark Industries in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4, is also possible.

Nothing more is known about Olympus yet. However, there are new leaks about the long-announced wings. According to iFireMonkey, these should come with a 30-second cooldown after each activation.

We imagine it could work similar to Silver Surfer's Surfboard. Fortnite leaker Loolo, who is mostly active in the Spanish community, mentioned that the new wings might consume stamina, like Tactical Sprint. We suspect, however, that this won't be the only change. How the wings will ultimately work in the game may still change before the release of the new season.

Lastly, a golden apple was leaked, which is supposed to give players a speed boost. Whether this will be a speed boost like the chili from Fortnite Chapter 2 is not yet known. Alternatively, the item could also provide infinite stamina for a certain time, as we know from the orange-gray Slurp Barrels from last season.

The golden apple is likely coming into the game as it is also part of Greek mythology. In the Garden of the Hesperides, the ancient gods ate the apples to gain eternal youth.

That's all for now with all the leaks and a little foray into Greek mythology. We're hyped for the new season and will update you as soon as there's something new.
