LoL Roster Revelations: How Bwipo And Nemesis Almost Defined Team Heretics

With the Team Heretics roster now set for the next split, many fans are excited about this team. However, Wunder and Perkz weren't originally intended for this roster. Instead, two rather unorthodox players were initially planned.

Team Heretics is a professional esports organization based in Spain. It was founded in August 2016 by Jorge 'Goorgo' Orejudo and Arnau Vidal. Known for its presence in various competitive gaming scenes, Team Heretics has made a significant impact, particularly in games like CS:GO, Call of Duty, Valorant, Fortnite, and League of Legends.

Because of them being a Spanish team, they have a huge Fanbase there. Team Heretics also won the EMEA Masters right before the team joined the LEC.

After not having a great year and earning criticism for their top laner Evi and support Mersa, they rebuilt their roster around jungler Jankos and ADC Flakked.

Team Heretics In 2024 Is G2.0

Both Jankos and Flakked are former members of G2. With Wunder and Perkz joining, now 4 members of Team Heretics are former G2 members, with the topside being part of the legendary 2019 roster.

But it wasn't always the plan for Team Heretics to become G2.0. Their original plans were also pretty hype.

Who Was Considered First?

Myrwn was considered first for top lane. He went to MAD Lions, though, as they wanted to have a team with Spanish players. Bwipo had a verbal agreement with Heretics. Because of that, Nemesis would also have joined. This is hype because Nemesis hasn't played competitively in a long time, but he is showing success with streaming and shows the world that he is one of the best.

Bwipo got a better offer from FlyQuest, so he broke the verbal agreement. FlyQuest also considered Nemesis, but he didn't want to join an NA team. If the FlyQuest Roster was in Europe, he would've joined.

After that, Wunder was the next option. He joined the team, even though he had better offers financially, as he considered it the best chance to win.

Perkz originally didn't want to join but was convinced by his old G2 teammates Wunder and Jankos. As Heretics couldn't afford Perkz, Perkz had to cut his salary massively.

Team Heretics was content with Vetheo, but he needed too many resources and attention, so they wanted to look for a mid laner who doesn't need as much.

We share your excitement to see if this roster can return to its former glory.
