Faker is the best League of Legends player in the world with years of experience, and yet he still manages to master new champions.
League of Legends player Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok is the greatest of all time. He started his career back in 2013 and has since become the winningest player in the sport. While his macro knowledge of the game surpasses that of most, with age also come a few drawbacks, like mechanics.
League of Legends champions have also become more and more complicated with an insane amount of skills and abilities. One of the newest ones, Hwei, is probably the most complex to date, but even this champion, Faker has managed to master in a short time.

Hwei has seen a bit of play across multiple professional regions, but not always to great success. In a recent match, T1, the 2023 World Champions, took their jab at the champion with 10-abilities and while the game wasn't perfect, Faker showed off his insane mechanics and skills on this difficult champ.
After beating NongShim 2-1, Faker was named MVP for one of the two matches, earning himself a post-game interview. In this interview he was asked about his Hwei and he confidently stated that "[he] is the best player at Hwei".
Usually Faker is very humble, but this time around he did show off and the community also agrees that Faker manages to play the champion unlike any other pro.
One player pointed out how Faker managed to use Hwei's entire kit, not just a set amount of abilities, to gain advantages in lane. For example, using the W-Q speed up minions when sieging towers, something other players rarely do.

Across this series I have consistently seen Faker use "all" of Hwei's kit, the entire breath of options, consistently in all those bubbles of inertia. In a fight, in the lane phase, in a game, in a series. It feels like he genuinely sees the champion as always having 10 skills, and not 4-to-7 skills depending on the state of the game, as other pro Hweis tend to.
It's incredible to see Faker still perform at such a level 10-years into his career. T1 will be playing KT Roster next on February 24. T1 has an 8-1 record, with KT close behind at 6-3. Who will win the Telecom War this time?
