New Terminator Open-World-Survival Game Continues After Judgement Day

After the first teaser in 2022, Nacon made an official announcement regarding the upcoming Terminator game as it's releasing later this year!

Terminator Survivors Is set in a apocalyptic open world survival world

At the Nacon Connect 2024 event, the developers at Nacon Studio Milan revealed some exciting news about their upcoming game. The previously announced Terminator game in 2022, has now been officially titled Terminator: Survivors. This game is set in the universe of the Terminator movies , after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Marco Ponte, the CEO & Creative Director of Terminators: Survivors, expressed that this project marks their studio's most ambitious undertaking yet. It's a big statement, but it makes sense considering the immense popularity of the Terminator franchise.

Terminator: Survivors will drop for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in Early-Access starting October 24, 2024.

More Details About Terminator: Survivors

In this game, you'll lead a group of survivors through a post-apocalyptic world, either on your own or with friends in cooperative play. Your main goal? Survival. That means scrounging for resources while contending with other survivor groups vying for the same scarce supplies.

But surviving isn't just about outsmarting other humans. You'll also have to dodge the relentless pursuit of Skynet's machines. These mechanical foes know no mercy and won't rest until they've wiped out humanity for good. Whether you're flying solo or teaming up with a group of up to four, it's up to you to guide humanity's resurgence from the ruins and uncover the mysteries behind the apocalypse, Skynet, and the Terminator menace.

Based on the developer's description alone, it sounds like we might be in for a blend of the survival elements from State of Decay with the intense atmosphere of Alien: Isolation. I'm surely excited about the early-access release in fall 2024.
