Lukas Scherbaum

Lukas Scherbaum is the FIFA Lead at EarlyGame. Since his first console – the Game Boy Advance SP bundled with FIFA 04 – he has extensively played every FIFA game until FIFA 23. In the new EA Sports FC 24, he dives into all game modes, including Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Clubs, and VOLTA.

The author grew up near Munich and studied sports journalism at Macromedia University after graduating from high school. During and after his bachelor's degree (completed in spring 2019), he gained his first experience as an intern at iM Football, a start-up app of the German TV channel Sport1, in 2017. He was then hired as a freelancer and was one of the main writers covering events such as the 2018 World Cup. After receiving his bachelor's degree in 2019, he joined Sport1's online editorial team, where he covered both national and international football. At the beginning of 2021, he wanted to return to the start-up atmosphere and entered the world of gaming journalism for the first time. Since then, he has been active at EarlyGame, where he pursues his passion for virtual football.

In addition to leading the EA FC 24 category, Lukas also serves as the Deputy Content Lead and oversees the entire editorial team. He accumulated a wealth of experience during his tenure at Sport1 and as a gaming writer for kicker eSport. Presently, his responsibilities encompass proofreading, graphic design, shift scheduling, and reporting.

Weekends with the FUT Champions Finals often leave him more drained than matches involving his beloved team, TSV 1860 Munich, currently competing in Germany's third division. Fortunately, he can bring 'the Lions' back to glory in EA FC 24's Career Mode.
