The time has finally come. After such a long wait, LEGO is finally coming to Fortnite, shortly after the release of Chapter 5 season 1.

Lego and Epic are planning to bring a space for children to play, build and communicate with each other to Fortnite. And all of this is going to be much bigger than we can imagine. We have collected all the news, leaks and details about the new Fortnite x Lego crossover for you.

LEGO Fortnite: Everything We Know

Considering Lego is one of the most popular brands in the world, including them in Fortnite makes a lot of sense. Both the toy manufacturer and the video game developer would benefit.

The forthcoming collaboration appears to be another Fortnite Creative 2.0 project in the form of an open-world mode. Similar to Minecraft, you can give your creativity free rein here.

Almost every Fortnite skin will also get a new Lego version that you can use to run around in this world.

Whether you build, craft, mine props, breed animals, grow fruit and vegetables, fight mobs, explore the world or just chill out with your friends is entirely up to you.

Here is a list of some of the things that have already been discovered in the files:

  • All items leaked so far: LEGO Stud Gun, Workbenches, Beds, Fences, Catapults (& Prankster Catapults), Map Markers, Ziplines, Trinkets (Buff Gear / Potions)
  • You can mine props (& Ores) around the map and build stuff with a Building tool that has 9 slots (and there's a Creative Mode)
  • There will be an "HP System" & "Energy System"
  • There will be Beds (with Curtains) that you sleep on to regen HP & Energy, and "Sleep Voting" if there's players with you
  • There will be "Vendors" that sell items, "Camps" to sleep at, and "Enemies" to fight
  • There will be "Crafting", and an Inventory
  • Emotes: so far they're making a "Minifig" version of some existing emotes (probably all of them)
  • Emotions/Reactions: Sad, Surprised, Worried, Excited, Disgusted, Bored, Angry, Afraid, Laughing (Default, Subdued & Extreme), Greeting (Default, Bored, Excited), Give Item, Take Item, Disagreement, Celebrating, Admiring
  • Movement: Sliding, Swimming, Gliding, Flying, Running, Walking, Falling (with Fall Damage)
  • Custom Inventory
  • NPCs that collect resources
  • Custom Death UI
  • Crafting & Auto-Crafting

It is important to the two companies that their metaverse will be child and family friendly. They aim to create an "immersive, creatively inspiring and engaging digital experience" that people of all ages can enjoy, according to a joint statement.

LEGO Fortnite: Release Date

LEGO Fortnite will be released on December 7, 2023, so you won't have to wait much longer before you can finally dive into the insane world of LEGO.

We're looking forward to the brand new survival crafting adventure and you?
