GTA 6: Anita Ward Responds To Leak, Ring My Bell Is Apparently Not Coming To The Game

An unusual leak surrounding a famous song suggested that GTA 6 could bring back a beloved radio station from GTA Vice City. However, the song in question will apparently not come to the game, as the artist herself responded to the rumors.

Grand Theft Auto 6 has been on everyone's lips for quite some time now. Rumors and leaks keep popping up, but we continue to eagerly await new official trailers. The first trailer showed us a game with synthwave aesthetics that takes us back to Vice City. Recently, an unusual leak hinted that a particular song could be coming to GTA 6.

GTA 6 Leak Surfacing On Spotify Was A False Lead

With the Trailer's song "Love is a Long Road" by Richard Perry already confirmed as one of the official songs in the soundtrack to the new GTA, the GTA 6 logo had appeared next to R&B singer Anita Ward's profile on Spotify, indicating that one or more of her songs would also be featured in the game.

The singer, or someone from her marketing team, has now posted on the music platform, denying that her popular "Ring My Bell" will appear in the trailer or on a radio station in the game.

But how did this logo end up on the Spotify page? The singer and the team weren't able to provide an explanation for that yet, as "the changes in the last 3 days
have been outside [their] knowledge." Whether the singer's songs might still appear in the game is not completely ruled out.

The fact that there is no official agreement at the moment does not mean that there will not be in the future, but there are no official agreements or negotiations at the moment.

Her most famous hit, "Ring My Bell," would fit extremely well in a GTA set in Vice City and would have been the first song we knew of to play on a revived Fever 105 radio station.

Fever 105 featured some of the biggest bangers of the 70s and 80s in GTA Vice City, such as Michael Jackson's "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" and "Automatic" by The Pointer Sisters. Since GTA 5 already brought back old stations from GTA: San Andreas, like Radio Los Santos, we can probably look forward to more familiar radio stations.

As the appearance of the logo wasn't a reliable hint after all, we're once again where we started. But the sound of "Ring My Bell" would indeed suit the new GTA very well. I can already envision myself cruising through downtown in a convertible for hours, singing along in a terrible, high-pitched voice. Maybe I just do it anyways. Apologies to my neighbors.
