Fallout: London Brings In Fan Favorite From Baldur's Gate

Have you ever wondered how the rest of the world outside the USA fared in the Fallout series? This Fallout mod will soon provide answers and already has a treat in store for us.

The Fallout series is arguably one of the most prominent examples of a passionate modding community. Currently, for instance, a team is working on a 3D mod of Fallout 2, and soon there will also be a mod bringing the titular radioactive disaster to London.

This mod hardly deserves to be labeled merely as a mod. Allegedly, it's said to be the size of a complete game. Just the map alone is rumored to be as vast as the Commonwealth in vanilla Fallout 4.

However, it's not just the sheer size of this project that is causing excitement. Fallout: London will also feature real voice acting, and one of the first talents to be announced is not a stranger.

Neil Newborn Takes Over A Role In Fallout: London

When thinking of British voice actors who have stood out in the gaming world in recent years, you probably quickly recall Baldur's Gate 3. Among the most beloved characters in the D&D game is undoubtedly the vampire companion Astarion. And? Have you guessed it yet? Yes! None other than the voice actor of Astarion, Neil Newbon, will take on a role in the upcoming Fallout mod.

However, Newbon has been known not only since Baldur's Gate. He has already lent his voice to characters in Final Fantasy 16, Resident Evil Village, Detroit: Become Human, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Learn more about the current status of the mod in this update video. At 5:25, there is an in-depth talk about the work of the voice acting team, as Neil Newbon certainly does not take on all roles, although he could undoubtedly pull it off...

Fallout: London is set to be released on April 23rd, just a few days after the launch of the Amazon Prime series Fallout. For several years now, Team FOLON, a non-profit group of international developers, has been working on the ambitious mod. With 15 main developers and hundreds of supporters, they are bringing the project to life. The images we have seen so far are impressive. Make sure to check out the website to get more insights.
