In EA Sports FC 24, certain soccer legends will be missing because they either retired over the summer or have transferred to clubs that will not be featured in the game. Unfortunately, stars like Ibrahimović, Özil, Iniesta, and many more will be absent in the new FIFA 24.
An era comes to an end: We have to do without some amazing icons of football in the new FIFA 24, EA Sports FC 24. Players like Zlatan Ibrahimović, Gareth Bale or even Andrés Iniesta are not included in EA FC 24.
There are different reasons for the absence of these stars. Some legends have ended their long careers (perhaps the guys are playing EA FC 24 themselves), other well-known players have switched to clubs whose league is not licensed. As a result, these players are missing in EA FC 24.

Below, we'll name some of the most well-known players who didn't make it into EA Sports FC. Let's start with the player with the best bicycle kick goal of all time.
Zlatan Ibrahimović
Ibrahimović has retired at the age of 41, so he is of course not playable in EA FC 24. Maybe the Swede will return to the game in the coming years as an Icon or Hero. Ibra needs to get an Icon card if EA Sports can secure the licenses for it. After many knee injuries, Ibra recently missed a large part of the season with AC Milan and eventually realized that the lion is too old for professional football.
Andrés Iniesta
Iniesta is one of the best midfielders in football history. The Spaniard has been seeing off his successful career far away from Europe for a long time already. After five years with the Japanese first division club Vissel Kobe, Iniesta moved to the Emirates Club to fill up the family coffers once again.
So, the 39-year-old has joined a club from the UAE Pro League, which is not playable in EA FC 24. Therefore, we have to do without Iniesta in EA FC 24.
Gianluigi Buffon
Gianluigi Buffon is one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time. The Italian has ended his long career just a few weeks ago. The man hung up his gloves at the proud age of 45. Buffon will be missed especially in the career mode, where you could sign him for 1€ transfer fee for a season if you needed a good short-term goalkeeper.
Gareth Bale
Gareth Bale has surprisingly ended his actually quite successful career. The Welshman has repeatedly been accused of focusing more on golf than football. In FIFA 23, he already received a very interesting End of an Era SBC, which many players completed.
Bale is certainly a candidate for an Icon or Hero card in the future.

Mesut Özil
Mesut Özil unfortunately had an unspectacular ending to his otherwise great career. After a great time at Real Madrid and initially good performances at Arsenal, things slowly but surely went downhill for the German World Cup winner of 2014.
In the end, he ended up at Fenerbahce Istanbul, but couldn't really shine there. He moved on to Basaksehir after only a few appearances before announcing his retirement in March.
As a World Cup winner, Özil is certainly a candidate for an Icon card.
