Blizzard Perma Bans Account Of Best Overwatch Player For Breach Of In-Game Conduct

Occasionally, even major companies like Blizzard can make mistakes in their decisions to ban players. A notable example is the suspension of a prominent player from the Overwatch League, which caused confusion among fans as to the exact reason for the ban.

The top Overwatch player and Overwatch League MVP Kim "Proper" Dong-Hyun has had his personal Overwatch account suspended by Blizzard. The ban is quite mysterious, with the player even posting about it on social media.

So, why did Blizzard's automated system decide to ban one of the best players in the game right now?

Blizzard Suspends Pro Players Account – Fans Unsure Why

Typically, players get their accounts suspended when they've done something wrong. Either it's being toxic in the game or if they cheat using third-party tools. Well, it looks like their automated system for checking for players who are ruining the game might need a reboot.

Pro Overwatch player Proper
, who was crowned Rookie of the Year and OWL MVP, had his personal Overwatch account banned. The kicker? No one is really sure what he was banned for.

The message of his suspension comes from an automated in-game message, stating that his behavior was against Overwatch's in-game code of conduct... this could basically mean anything from being toxic to cheating.

In the suspension message, it is also written that Blizzard support cannot overturn this ban and that any purchases he has made on the account won't be refunded to him either. Since the Overwatch world is looking forward to the Overwatch Championship Series soon, this could be pretty bad for the DPS player.

For now, it doesn't seem like Blizzard has stepped in to unban him, but this is likely a bug within the system, which means he should be unbanned, or at least given a new high-level account by Blizzard.
