100% On Rotten Tomatoes: Upcoming Hulu Series Receives Perfect Score

An upcoming historical drama, set to air on FX and Hulu has already enchanted viewers. This could be the best show of 2024 and we're not even halfway through the year yet.

A new series is causing quite the stir. FX's Shōgun, a historical drama, is set to release in late February, and it's got critics in high hopes. The series has already earned itself a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes even before it's released to the public.

While the series, thus far, only has 17 reviews all of them are extremely positive, some even dubbing Shōgun the best series of 2024.

Shōgun Could Be One Of The Best Shows In 2024

Shōgun is a historical drama set in the 1600s in Japan. The series is based off the novel of the same name by James Clavell which was released in 1975. It seems that the show is going to follow the book quite closely, with fans of the novel commenting under the trailer for Shōgun that the visuals are just as explained in the book.

The story revolves around an English navigator, John Blackthorne, who becomes embroiled in the political intrigue of feudal Japan. As he navigates through complex relationships, he rises in status, becoming a key player in the power dynamics of the era.

While the story is fictional, it is based off real events and history, with the main character also loosely based off of English navigator William Adams.

Shōgun is a great historical drama that binds action and politics together with beautiful scenery added in as well. With reviewers already raving about the series, fans can expect an interesting watch when the series finally releaes on Hulu and FX.
